This series of paintings is a reflection of the tumultuous world in which we live. Children are our world’s future; we put our fate into their hands, as we try to mold their minds and attitudes. It has become evident, unfortunately, that the next generation hasn’t embrace the values of the generations past; values such as honesty, respect and integrity have given way to violence and a general lack of respect for authority. Life as we know and live it today is fast paced and quite disposable. There is an abundance of instant art and culture, trends and world events at our fingertips. My paintings and sculptures are a reaction to these times. My themes are allegories of a time that speaks of the tensions and duality existing in people all over the world. I try to install whimsy, humor and sarcasm into my pieces. My work gives the viewer a chance to stand back and relive memories and feelings that were once discarded in the process of growing up.
